Who do you consider an icon or what do you consider to be iconic? A person, an image or an ideology? Across the world people from different beliefs, cultures and nations share both similar and very opposing views on what they perceive as iconic. For Oliver Goldsmith, as a fashion brand our icons belong to the world of film, music and fashion; celebrities and personalities that have embodied an era, a fashion or a memorable moment in time, and we 're incredibly grateful to have worked with so many iconic faces over our 93 year span.

Cult films of the fifties and sixties; The Ipcress File, Harry Palmer, Charade and Two For the Road along with the faces of these movies, the likes of Michael Caine, Peter Sellers and Audrey Hepburn ‚ all wore Oliver Goldsmith in abundance. Icons of fashion such as Givenchy, Dior and Vidal Sassoon all worked closely with Oliver Goldsmith, commissioning him to design one off pieces for their catwalk shows. Members of the Royal family, from Princess Grace to Princess Diana and Prince Charles also chose to wear OG and our back catalogue of imagery is always a joy to explore.

If you visit the Oliver Goldsmith store, (15 All Saints Road, W11 1HA), the walls of the vintage archive are plastered with press coverage featuring these famous faces ‚ imagery that is often taken from publications that in turn have their own iconic status; magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair and Queen. Casting your eyes across the walls of iconic imagery is a never-ending source of inspiration; the clothes, style and narrative of the decades before us will always hold a special place in the history and heart of Oliver Goldsmith.

Today, we are delighted to be working with working with modern day icons such as Lady Gaga, Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Anne Hathaway and Cate Blanchett ‚ faces from the world of fashion, music and cinema that are synonymous with celebrity and style.
